Two golf tournaments in Luchon in October 2026

Luchon Golf Club is organising two competitions in Scramble for 2 on Sundays 4 and 11 October 2026. They will take place on Avenue du Bois Chantant, in Montauban-de-Luchon, a town neighbouring Bagnères-de-Luchon. Registration opens one week before each event and remains open until the day before, directly with the golf club.

This information is provided by the’Haut-Garonne Pyrenees Tourist Office. Before you travel, we recommend that you check the timetables, registration details and any changes to the programme with the’Luchon Golf Club Sports Association.

Understanding the ‘Scramble 2’ format

The Two-Ball Scramble is a team format in which both partners play one ball each from the tee. The team then selects the best-placed ball, and both players play on from that spot. This process is repeated until the hole is completed.

This format encourages cooperation and allows partners to play their round together. Each player can contribute their strengths, whether that be accuracy off the tee, approach shots or putting. The format is therefore ideal for golfers who enjoy a friendly round whilst still pursuing a genuine sporting challenge.

La French Golf Federation provides general information on the sport, licences and the organisation of competitions. However, where the rules applied during events in Luchon are concerned, the guidance provided by the club takes precedence.

A golf course in the heart of the Luchon Valley

Playing golf in the Luchon Valley allows you to enjoy the sport in a mountainous setting that is quite different from courses located on the plains. The course is surrounded by the Pyrenean mountains and benefits from its proximity to Bagnères-de-Luchon, a resort renowned for its spa heritage, scenery and outdoor activities.

In October, the landscape gradually changes colour and the temperatures become cooler. It is therefore a good idea to pack clothes suitable for the day’s weather and to check the forecast before setting off. Mornings can be chilly, whilst the weather in the mountains can sometimes change rapidly.
